Philippines Update May 26, 2013

Ask of Me and I will give you the Nations -(Psalms 2:8) I spent time worshiping the Lord this morning and the Lord began to speak some things to my heart. I am currently in the Philippines resting as I have come from India on a grueling, but fruitful trip. I have been coming to the Philippines for 13 years now. The Lord directed me here on a mission trip and told me to just to observe and not to take any kind of a leadership role. After this initial trip the Holy Spirit began to direct me to have a long term relationship with this country and its people. In particular with young men and women who had given their lives to the Lord and were being trained by YWAM ministries (Youth with a Mission). I started by teaching in their DTS schools, and then by expanding outward by teaching in many communities and taking these young YWAM people with me as I traveled. They were always a joy to have along as their commitment to Christ was so genuine and they were eager to learn more. Without really knowing it I was forging lifelong relationships and building men and women in the Kingdom who would make a substantial difference in their country.

Today when I look I see men and women of influence working with their Lord throughout the country. They are busy working in their communities with passion and vision and with very little regards to their own personal needs and often times, their safety. Yes I can travel just about anywhere in the country and fellowship with one of my children who I have had the joy of investing in their lives. They are my joy and my hero’s. They have opened Ywam bases throughout the Philippines, they disciple the youth and adults who come for instruction. They feed the poor and the hungry, they put their back-packs on and hike off into the mountains and villages taking with them the bare necessities and the Gospel of the Lord to remote places who have had very little opportunity if any to hear the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They go in His name declaring liberty to the captives, healing the sick and delivering the oppressed. They go feeding the children and building relationships with the parents and village leaders

This morning the Lord whispered in my ears “See I have given you the nation: yes the many days and often sleepless nights and thousands of miles traveled has produced a Harvest for my Lord. Oh yea, did I mention I just came from India? I wonder dare I ask? 1.3billion people who are in need of saving grace and the Hope that only it can bring. Yes, “Ask of me and I will give you the nations”, I was given one, maybe it is time for you to let the Lord give you one also, He does this through willing vessels who will go or support those who will go and He stealthily works through them and in them until one day they look back and see what all the Lord has done.

I have just received word that six young men who had ministered to in India were arrested for handing out tracks in their home town. The Hindu business people in the community called the police on them. After six hours of detainment they have been released. Please pray for these young ones as they face daily persecution.
Did you know that you can provide support for a Church planter for $25.00 dollars per week. Yes this amount will free them to full time evangelism and church planting. We are currently looking for sponsors for 10 church plantings in the Philippines on the island of Mindanao. These are young men who are called and have been giving after work hours for this purpose. They currently work 80 hours per week in the pineapple fields. They come home tired and drained from the sun and 90 plus humid degrees, then they try to go out and do the pastoral work for their church plant. Please pray and see if the Lord would not have you sponsor one of these. We will send you their pictures and information so you can regularly pray and communicate back and forth to each other. Use our donate button on our one-life-ministries page for this purpose.
