Keep Praising God

I have been reading in the Psalms recently. Making the Psalms a part of your weekly or even daily reading is a great idea. Much of the Psalms are written by King David and in them you can see his heart as he prays and cries out to God.

In Psalm 34.1-3, David talks about praising and boasting in the Lord ...

"I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
 My soul will make its boast in the Lord;
The humble will hear it and rejoice.
 O magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together."

In verse 4 he goes on to declare his confidence in God's hearing and answering his prayers and the cry of his heart ...

"I sought the Lord, and He answered me,
And delivered me from all my fears."

If we are willing to offer to God the sacrifice of praise, even in the middle of difficulties like King David, you also will be able to declare with confidence, as David did, that God will hear and answer your prayers and deliver you  from all your fear.

In Psalm 33.1, David makes this statement ...

"Praise is becoming to the upright. "

'Becoming' means to be suitable or appropriate. Praise is certainly suitable and appropriate for someone who claims to be a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, it opens the door of our hearts towards God, builds our faith, and gives us the assurance that God hears and answers our prayers.

KEEP PRAISING GOD!

  1. Good word! Very encouraging. Offering and declaring God's faithfulness and goodness helps us press through any difficulty, challenge, or hardship. Just keeps us connected to the Vine.
