God Is Moving Mightily in India!

I'm updating the trip this morning as it has been the first time I have had some time. We have been on the go from 7 Am till 10-11 PM every day. Please pray as it is tiring. But we are doing ok. Carl has had some minor stomach problems. He stayed in last night to rest and seems better this morning.

We are outside of Chennai, as we finished our meetings in Polar. Our meetings there were good. The pastors are hungry for the word and they were very excited to receive the Shepherds Staff from Gene. This book will enable them to train and raise leaders and send them out as the Lord directs. Many were blessed as the Holy Spirit would come and heal and free them. The Christians of India are young in their faith. They are now 20% of their population of 1.3 billion. When you figure the math, it simple to understand why we are here. The need to reach the harvest is great. It is not easy because of the entrenched Hinduism religion and the Muslim.

Our Ministry here has been well received; the churches are small but packed out. The pastors are poor and there is no money to expand or buy land. They do the best with what they have, but to us spoiled Americans it can be very taxing, LOL . Again the Shepherds Staff was GIVEN OUT in their own language. They cried some and were so happy as some testified they had waited for years for one of these books.

Eugene has been a blessing to these people. His age is a great tool for our acceptance. He has been here before 7 times and is revisiting the works he had sown in before. They receive him as their father in the faith. It is a joy to see.

The poverty of India is immense. They lack in most everything. We lose power every day, sometimes twice . Our internet connection is very spotty. I am writing this without internet availability to me and will post later. The streets we travel are barely navigational in spots, and the odor of the city in areas is overwhelming to the senses. The true beauty of India is its people. They are poor and oppressed, yet have great kindness and generosity. Much prayer for India is needed.

We have two services yet today. It is Sunday. We will trust our Lord for his great mercy to be poured out. Carl will be lead this morning and I will follow behind him. We are becoming the dynamic duo. Really we flow together very well. It is a joy to be with this team. Eight more days and then they head home and I will continue on. Please pray often for us as the enemy is large, but our God is much greater.

Sunday report. The day began hot as there was very little breeze. When we arrived the church was overflowing. No room left. So they began to set chairs outside the church. The room was a 20 X 80 cement building with no windows. The heat from the bodies was radiating off them as you walked past them. You almost immediately began to sweat, but more evident was the waves of the anointing of the Holy Spirit flowing through the church; it was evident we were about to have a great morning. Eugene shared first, and once again spoke as a father to the crowd. He admonished them to know that the Lord hears their every thought and wants to enable them and bring them to a new level of understanding and faith. I was handed the mike and asked to finish the service. The time had passed by when they had handed me the mike and there was only about 15 minutes left. ---------------Well I knew the Holy Spirit had whispered in my ear to speak about himself . I was given three scriptures to jump off from. The service went wild as many were saved and then fire fell on about 60 who came forward as they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
