Incredible!

As we take the month of June to focus on our ministry in Guatemala, please ask the Lord how you might be able to help out. Our goal is to raise $30,000 so we can buy a new car for the ministry. Someone expressed concern that this was a lot of money to expect our church to raise. As I thought about this I believe the Lord impressed upon me that our confidence should not be in our ability, but in His ability to provide for the needs of the ministry.

As I look back on what we have accomplished in Guatemala, it is amazing. As a church we ...
  • supported a full-time missionary 10 plus years
  • purchased four pieces or property in Peronia
  • remodeled and added a 2nd story to CV1
  • remodeled and added a 2nd story to CV2
  • fixed up CV4 so it is a safe place for children to play
  • partially completed remodeling and adding a 2nd story on CV3
  • partnered with Pastor Mario and host a school in CV2
  • partnered with Janet Moutray and host a music academy in CV1
Wow, that is incredible for our church! God has been so faithful to us over the years and people have been very generous.

We have sent mission teams to Guatemala many times over the past 10 years and many from the church have been to Guatemala multiple times. On these trips we have helped with building maintenance, done children's programs in schools and orphanages, and even gone into prisons.

Beyond the financial, however, there has been much fruit spiritually. Through the efforts of Chris Schoff, who lives in Guatemala full-time, and his staff, we have ministered to hundreds of children through the years. Some of those children have grown up and their children are now in the program.

Asking God how you can participate financially will certainly be a blessing. But beyond that, partnering together with the church to pray for Guatemala is incredibly important. Please pray for God's protection for Chris and the staff. Ask God to release the necessary provision for the ministry. Pray for the release of divine strategies and grace to reach more children and families in Peronia with the Gospel.

Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness and provision in Guatemala. Thank you Lord for the faithfulness of Your people.
