Take the Challenge - Signup!

This past Sunday I talked about the difference between a Safe Church and a Dangerous Church. What type of church do you want to belong to?

A Safe Church is made up of people who play it safe in their relationship with God and a Dangerous Church is made up of people who are willing to step out in faith and take risks for God. God never called His church to be safe.

If we are going to be a Dangerous Church, one that will have an impact on the world around us, then we need to be serious about our walk with God in 2010.

Sunday I challenged the church to make two commitments in 2010:

1. Read 5 chapters in the Bible per week

2. Fast one day (24 hours) per week
(if you have medical issues please consult your doctor as to how you can fast safely)

I would like to see every member of COTRM take their faith to the next level with God.

If you are ready to make one or both of the above commitments please click here to join the group.

Thank you for your devotion to God and your prayerful consideration of the above. Together we can make a difference.

  1. i remember going into work one night, and reading a open letter to the caregivers on the bulletin. it was from the daugher of one of the residents who had recently died. she stated she was a believer who only had time ONCE A WEEK to study His Word.
seeing something like this really, really scares me.
im like this..if more believers got a real revelat
ion on just how many cults who believe in killing its members have the names of those ignorant of knowledge and understanding of the Word, theyd seriously rethink daily studying an meditating of His Word on their list of priorities.

to be part of a dangerous church, there is NO excuse for not incorporating regular studying and meditation of His Word into their lives. today, there is simply too many means of accessing available today. and doing just this isnt enough. we also need to allow God to reveal to us how His Word applies to our individual worlds and lives. if all someone does is parrot bible quotes, alot of unbelievers are going to end up simply making fools out of them. it will also make them prime targets for false teachers.

im up for the challenge it rocks!!!!!
