Help Wanted

I can only think of one time in the entire Bible where God asks men for help. Jesus is in the garden, troubled because He is hours away from a horrific death, and He asks His disciples to pray with Him. (Mark 14) You know the rest of the story. Do you ever put yourself in the disciple’s place, wonder what you would have done in that moment?

Romans 8:34 & Hebrews 7:25 tell us that Christ is even now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding. Can you imagine the things that trouble the heart of the One Who Sees All? Ephesians 1:20 & 2:6 says that we can seat ourselves in Him in that same position of intercession. What an incredible honor, and responsibility. He is still asking for our help. That’s why we pray.
