The Challenge!

The book of Joel can be very challenging, in particular if you read it with an understanding of how it applies to our lives today.

This past Sunday, I challenged us as Christians to examine our lives and ask God what adjustments we can make to respond to God’s call in the day in which we live.

If we are going to see the problems of our nation turned around, the church is going to have to fast and assemble together for prayer. In addition it is going to take humility, turning to God, and forsaking sin or anything in our lives that will hinder our fall, whole hearted devotion to God.

How is God asking you to respond to His call in your life? What can you do today?

2 Chr 7:13-14 NKJV When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
