God has richly blessed our congregation in so many ways. I am very grateful for His years of provision. The people of COTRM are to be commended for their faithful and consistent giving over the years.
As many already know, about two weeks ago someone stole three of our A/C condenser units. It is our hope to have everything resolved with the insurance company this week and for the contractor to begin installing new units. Our financial exposure as a church will be our $10,000 deductible plus about $2,000 to properly secure the new and existing A/C units, to deter any further loss.
This Sunday, we will be taking up a special offering to raise the money to have the new units installed. As a church we have been richly blessed by God to be completely debt free. I would like to raise the necessary funds to replace the A/C units without going into debt. This would be a great blessing.
Please be praying and asking God how you might be able to participate in this offering. I believe as the family of God pulls together, we can meet this need. My wife and I are committed to help out with this need and I hope that you and your family will be able to help out as well. If we all pull together it should lessen the burden on any one person or family.
I know that these are difficult times for many, but I believe God is teaching us how to be a generous people even in the middle of hard economic times. As Paul said in Philippians, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am” (Phil 4:11). Paul also understood that there is great profit when you and I learn to give, not just out of our abundance, but at times even out of our need. There is eternal value when we give to the work of building God’s Kingdom here on earth.
Thank you and may God richly bless you and your family for your generosity,
Pastor Gary
