Faith Declared!
King David, older in years, is experiencing a difficult season in his life. What does He do? He declares his faith. God is calling us to declare our faith as well, TODAY!
David experienced many times of great success and prosperity in his life, as well as some very difficult seasons of time. In Psalm 71 he is in the middle of one of those difficult seasons and the cry of his heart is, God, “Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails” (Psa 71:9). In response to this difficult time, how does he “fight the good fight of faith?” He publicly declares his faith and confidence in God-
my mouth is filled with your praise and glory
my mouth will tell of your righteousness and your salvation
I will speak of your mighty deeds
I will declare your wondrous deeds
I will not cease to declare your strength and your power to this generation
my tongue will utter your righteousness
Over and over again David speaks the life of God into his life circumstances by declaring truth about God.
In morning prayer recently someone prayed a prayer for COTRM that I felt was prophetic in nature. They declared that there would be
-standing room only on the inside of the building and parking attendants on the outside
-full hotels, restaurants overflowing, people flooding into the area, because of what God is doing
-the number of people being saved and healed on our sign each weekend
As David declared the goodness of God over his situation, I believe we can in faith declare the above to be true over our situation. Please pray with me that God would move mightily and that the above prayer would become a reality for COTRM and for the churches in this area.
May we, along with King David, declare the wondrous works of God.
Verbalize your faith TODAY,
