Supernatural Fruitfulness

We had another great men’s meeting again this past Saturday, talking about the Kingdom of Heaven and the parables in Matthew 13, particularly the wheat and tares. I would like to thank everyone who came and participated in making it a success! The question was raised who are the good seed, and if we are the good seed, how do I know if we’re living up to our potential of producing the 30, 60, 100, fold crop that the Lord desires?

I believe we have established that Jesus' reign is not just going to be a future geographical reign, but that He is ruling and reigning in our hearts and lives now. When Jesus talked about entering in the Kingdom He was talking about coming under the rule of His Lordship, that would be like you entering in a different country and coming under their authority and laws. The apostle Paul talked about it like we were in the military under a commander and chief and that we were under that jurisdiction not like citizens that could do whatever they want. We are not our own we have been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus.

For those of you that were at sunrise service, remember Pastor Greg giving the vivid illustration that we must decrease so He can increase. Without Him we can do nothing. It’s evident that we cannot produce a crop and bear fruit without Jesus. Remember it is the fruit of the Spirit not the fruit of ourselves. So does that mean we don’t have anything to do to produce that fruit? Faith without works is dead! We still have to respond to what the Spirit is saying, don’t we?

I’ve got a question for you. What part of your life is the Spirit of God working on in regards to your Relationship with God, your Marriage, Relationships in general, your Health, Work, and Finances?

Is God wanting to spend more time with Him in prayer and His word? Are you loving Him with all your Heart, Mind, Soul, and Strength?

Are you loving your wife as Christ loves the Church? Are there areas in your marriage that need shoring up?

How about the area of health? Are we doing everything in moderation and treating our bodies like the Temple of the Holy Spirit? What’s it like in your work environment are you letting the light of Jesus shine, praying for your boss and company and ready to give the right answer to your co-worker when they ask because they see something different in you, and are our finances reflecting that we are good stewards of the money entrusted to us?

WOW! I know this is a long email but I feel compelled to write this because I know that you are Men of Honor that are going to bring about change in your environment for the Glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom! Be encouraged because, He that began a good work in you will be faithful complete it! Did you hear that? He will be faithful to complete it.

If you feel squeezed right now from the things that are happening in life, it’s just God, looking for some sweet juice, making you more like Jesus, allowing you to bear the fruit of the Spirit. Let patience (bearing difficulty without complaint) have her complete work.

So how do we know if we are bearing the fruitfulness God requires? Be faithful, like the parable of the talents, in what God is has entrusted to you today, each day, then you will be like a tree planted by the streams of water that will bear fruit in their season. Let Jesus rule and reign in our lives with full submission to His will. Then fruitfulness will come naturally. Or should I say Supernaturally!
