The Unseen Side

On Sunday we have been discussing what it is like to be a Dangerous Church. A Dangerous Church brings about transformation in its people and in the community around them. As we saw Sunday, a Dangerous Church transforms ...

1. The Ordinary into the Extraordinary
2. Consumers into Contributors
3. The Living to the Dead

To be such a church, however, has a price tag associated with it. A Dangerous Church also involves ...

1. Pain

Our goal is not to live a safe insulated life. As Jesus suffered in the flesh we are to arm ourselves with the same purpose so that we can see the Kingdom of God released.

2. Risk

There are risks and lots of them in our walk with God. In fact the faith-filled Christian life is a process of ... risk, failure, learn, and adjust.

3. Loss

As Craig Groeschel said, "Sacrifice is giving up something that you love for something that you love even more." As we lay down our life for the Lord, He gives us His life and so much more.

I left us this past Sunday with three challenges to think about ...

1. Is there an area in your life that God would have you die to so you can live for Him?
2. Are you ready to be a contributor more than a consumer?
3. Are you ready to ... suffer pain, take risks, and embrace loss, all for the purpose of glorifying God and His name?

Together we can make we can make a difference in the world around us.

Take the challenge,
Pastor Gary
